Vintage French Châteauneuf-du-Pape Grape Hod
Here is a lovely Vintage French Châteauneuf-du-Pape Grape Hod. Originally made to be worn like a backpack to pick grapes, this vintage grape hod has been more recently hand painted with a black background and featuring the timeless Châteauneuf-du-Pape papal crest.
Made to look like the Vatican City coat of arms, this traditional logo shows a papal three-crowned tiara (triregnum) above the keys of St.Peter with the words “Châteauneuf-du-Pape” (loosely translated to “The Popes New Castle”) around the top of the tiara.
Looks great as a decorative accent by itself, with dried flowers or even as a log caddy for your fireplace. Can be hung on the wall if desired. Overall good condition with wear consistent with age and use as seen in pictures. Some minor scuffs, a minor tear in the metal etc..
