What is a lab grown diamond?
A lab-grown diamond is a diamond that is created in a laboratory rather than mined from the Earth. These diamonds have the same chemical composition, crystal structure, optical and physical properties as natural diamonds formed over millions of years beneath the Earth's crust.
Lab-grown diamonds are produced using two main methods:
High Pressure-High Temperature (HPHT) method: This method mimics the natural diamond formation process by subjecting carbon to high pressure and high temperature.
Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) method: This method involves creating a diamond from a gas mixture in a vacuum chamber.
The key difference between lab-grown diamonds and natural diamonds is their origin: one is created in controlled laboratory conditions, while the other forms naturally underground. Both types of diamonds have the same chemical composition, crystal structure, optical and physical properties.
Are these real lab grown diamonds?
Yes! These 100% authentic lab grown diamonds. Chemically, physically and optically identical to a natural diamond but created in a lab. Our diamonds are sourced from the same suppliers that the big retailers purchase from. Retailers you see on TV, in malls and internet advertisements, websites etc... only our are priced much more affordably. All of our lab diamonds include their original IGI diamond grading report.
Why is the price so low?
We look for the best possible prices from manufacturers around the world and pass these savings on to our customers. Our markups are low and our overhead is much less than a full retail jewelry store chain (eg. hundreds of employees, commission sales staff, multi million dollar advertising budgets etc….) All of these costs are factored into the price of a retail diamond. By keeping our prices at a wholesale level we are able to keep inventory moving fast and offer our customers an unbeatable price.
What are your qualifications?
I am a GIA graduate gemologist with over 15 years experience in the precious metal and jewelry industry.
Do these diamonds come with a certificate?
Yes, all loose diamonds include their original IGI or GIA grading certificate.
If you don’t have the diamond I want in stock, can you order it?
Yes, we can order in just about any shape, quality or size you are looking for. No obligation to purchase if you do not like the diamond, we just require a small refundable deposit to bring a diamond into the store for you. It takes about 2 weeks for a custom order diamond to arrive in store.
Can you set my diamond into a setting?
Yes, we do offer this service as well and have thousands of designs to choose from here. Our settings are made exclusively in the USA and come from the largest wholesale manufacturer of jewelry in North America. This would be done as a separate transaction and the process does take approx. 3-5 weeks depending on the complexity of the job. If you are interested in this extra service please let me know.
