Antique French Empire Portico Clock
A very nice quality French rosewood and satinwood Portico mantel clock with boxwood inlay and fine boxwood stringing to the columns, finishing with brass gilt capitals. The clock has a decorative pendulum and face with porcelain enamel dial. The movement is an eight day which strikes the hours and half hours on a bell, circa 1870.
The clock movement has been cleaned and serviced. Movement is stamped with "SF & JD" with the number "6980" directly underneath. Porcelain enamel dial is in excellent condition. Some minor wear and veneer loss to case as seen in the pictures.
