An Antique 19th century Egg Shaped 750 Silver Piggy Bank with Guard Dog and Lock. Likely American made in the Northeast, this unusual piece features an egg shaped piggy bank with a large deposit slot at the top of the egg. Secured with a brass lock (missing key) and guarded by a dog secured to a chain at the base of the item.
Piece is monogramed as seen in the pictures. Overall very good condition for its age with minor wear consistent with age and use.
Stamped “750” on base.
